Spring 2009

Trevor Lovell,
Director

Trevor Lovell is the Statewide Director of ReEnergize Texas. He has been working for Public Citizen since the summer of 2007 and in that capacity he co-founded ReEnergize Texas. The coalition sponsors statewide events and supports independent student campaigns that promote policies to address climate change at the campus, city, state, and federal levels.

Before coming to Public Citizen, Trevor was a student at the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated with a degree from the Business Honors Program with minors in Latin American Studies and Art History. While there he directed the Campus Environmental Center for two years.

Anna Pierce,
Central Texas Coordinator

Anna has been organizing in the great state of Texas since 2004, when it all began with the Sierra Student Coalition’s summer program, SPROG. Since then, she has been involved as a National Leader with the SSC, serving on the personnel, training, and executive committees, as well as training and directing Sprogs for the past 4 summers. She has been a leader on her campus, including directing the Environmental Center at UT in ‘07-’08. Anna co-founded the Re-Energize Texas Coalition in 2007, and is currently serving as the Central Texas Coordinator. She will be graduating in May 2009 with an interdisciplinary degree focused on sustainability, and plans to organize full-time after college. In her “spare time” you will find her playing capoeira, watching Democracy Now, and hanging out with friends on her porch.

Patrick Meaney,
Legislative Intern

Patrick is the legislative intern for ReEnergize Texas and is currently studying Government with an Environmental studies certificate at UT-Austin. He has worked on an organic farm in New Zealand, studied ecotoxicology and sustainable design architecture at UC – Boulder, and has returned to his native Texas to push for progressive, environmental reform. Off-duty, Patrick enjoys fitness, reading, painting, and is planning to make a cross-continent, bicycle trip after finishing his degree.

Jenifer Wilde,
Organizing Intern

Jenifer Wilde is currently a senior at the University of Texas and will graduate in May with her BA in Geography and the Environment. She is the organizing intern for ReEnergize Texas and is helping plan the summit, as well as blogging for RTX. Jenifer is a part-time runner and a full-time food enthusiast.

Jeff Guidry,
Fundraising Intern

Jeff Guidry hails from the Gulf Coast of Texas but came to Austin to study at UT. A Senior English major and an Americorps Alumni, Jeff brings to ReEnergize Texas a strong background in and commitment to public service along with his love of writing and the arts.
